Birth Concept of Eight Trigrams
In one of the ancient Chinese myth, it spoke of a sage named Fu Xi who invented the theory of Trigrams. There are currently two known arrangement of Trigrams - Early Heaven and Later Heaven. It is one of the very important topics in Feng Shui practice leading to good foundation.
The formation of Eight Trigrams
Ancient Chinese believed that the world before creation was known as 无极 meaning absolute nothingness. From nothingness, it formed into Yin and Yang. From the single lines of Yin and Yang, 4 combinations of 2 Yin Yang lines are formed. Adding one Yang or Yin line, to the previous combination, a 8 Trigram concept is formed.
